I have an innate, keen eye for spelling mistakes. In addition, I’ve had a formal education in this area (at the Translation Academy in Maastricht). Consequently, I’ve a solid foundation for working with words and texts.
During my first job, I extended my knowledge by taking classes in desk editing, that really taught me the ins and outs of writing and polishing texts. After a period of four years I started working as a freelancer, working mainly in translation, editing, and website development.
To this day, I have always followed my passion for words and language by participating in a wide range of classes and workshops in related fields, including typography, voice acting, and writing for the web. The last couple of years, however, my focus has shifted more and more to doing voice-over work.
I am fully self employed, but have tied my activities together with those of my partner in a vof (a partnership): Arkon.
